Miramar College, located in the fast-growing Mira Mesa/Scripps Ranch
area of San Diego along the I-15 corridor, offers certificates,
associate degrees and comprehensive transfer programs for students
transferring to UC, CSU and private institutions. One of only five
advanced transportation technology centers in California, the college
boasts career training in automotive, diesel, heavy equipment, alternative
fuels and FAA-certified aviation (maintenance and pilot/groundschool)
technologies. Established career training programs in law enforcement,
fire technology, emergency medical care and transportation and biotechnology
programs reflect strong college/industry partnerships that prepare
students for high-demand careers. The recent completion of the three-pool
Ned Baumer Aquatic Center provides opportunities for athletics.
A science/technology center and advanced transportation center will
soon provide needed facilities.
