Through counseling
and workshops, the Centers offer clients the skills to succeed in
their search for a new career. The Centers are NOT a job placement service,
but rather offers its clients methods to maximize their chances for
success in looking for a job opening, surviving the application and
interview process, and sizing up and meeting new employers' expectations.
In addition, there are free continuing education classes to bring clients up to speed in reading and writing, prepare for a high school equivalency test and get introduced to computers.
Services are free
Best of all, these services are free if you are enrolled in the San
Diego Community College District (City College, Mesa College, Miramar
College, Continuing Education), are SDCCD staff, or
if you qualify under federal low-income guidelines. Related occupational
preparation classes are also free of charge.
Call to ask about fee-based services that may be available at: (619) 516-2200.
