Honors Transfer Agreements
 

Upon completion of the Honors Transfer Program, students may take advantage of the benefits and privileges offered by universities through honors transfer agreements. The key aspects of these agreements are highlighted below.


UCLA: Transfer Alliance Program (TAP):

  • Guaranteed priority consideration for admission to the College of Letters and Science. (Impacted majors will likely require higher than a 3.0 GPA and completion of all preparation courses for the major with “A”s and “B”s.)
  • Several scholarships selected from the community college TAP applicants.
  • Twelve (12) units of honors work at SDCC will be accepted by the UCLA honors program
    (requires a 3.5 GPA).
  • Super TAP Day - an organized visit to the campus to prepare Honors students to transfer.
  • Courtesy library card to the main undergraduate library at UCLA.
  • Complimentary opportunities to attend academic, cultural, and/or athletic events at UCLA.
  • Access to the Scholarship Resource Center.
UC Irvine: Community College Honors Transfer Program:
  • Priority consideration for admission.
  • Priority admission consideration for the campus-wide Honors Program (requires a 3.5 GPA as well as evidence of motivation and leadership).
  • Guaranteed on-campus housing.
  • Complimentary opportunities to attend academic, cultural and athletic events at UCI.
  • Assist honors students in obtaining UCI library privileges.
  • Early admission to the UCI chapter of the Golden Key National Honor Society (requires a 3.4 GPA).


Pomona College: Pomona Agreement for Transfer Honors (PATH):
  • Priority consideration for admission to the college (requires a 3.5 GPA).
  • Complimentary opportunities to attend academic, cultural, and social events at Pomona College.
  • Guaranteed dormitory housing for all enrolling students.


Occidental College:
  • Preferred Admission Agreement for Community College Honors Programs
  • Preferred consideration for admission (requires a 3.25 GPA).
  • One-on-one meetings (upon request) with individual students to discuss and review general education requirements, major prerequisites, and graduation requirements.
  • Complimentary opportunities to attend academic, cultural, and social events at Occidental College.
  • Guaranteed on campus housing for all enrolling students.


UC Santa Cruz
  • Priority admission to the university for Fall Quarter only.
  • Guaranteed on-campus housing for first year of attendance, Fall Quarter Admission only.


Pepperdine University: Wavelink Program
  • Priority admission to the College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences (Seaver College).
  • A minimum $5,000 renewable academic scholarship to all students (requires a 3.5 GPA) and a minimum $2,500 renewable academic scholarship (requires a 3.0 GPA).

  • Priority scholarship consideration for students who qualify for need-based or merit-based assistance. Students are eligible for merit scholarships up to $15,000.
  • Complimentary opportunities to attend academic, cultural, and athletic events at Pepperdine University.
Enrollment as non-degree students at Pepperdine University--this course work may be used at Pepperdine or transferred to another university to count toward a bachelor’s degree.



UC Riverside: Honors Alliance for Riverside Transfers (Hart):
  • Guaranteed admission to the university.
  • Priority scholarship consideration for students who qualify for merit-based transfer scholarship.
  • Acceptance into the University Upper Division Honors Program.
  • Priority consideration for a UCR Residential Fellowship.
  • Priority consideration for the UCR summer Research Institute.
  • Complimentary opportunities to attend academic, cultural, and athletic events at UCR.


Chapman University: Priority Access for Chapman Transfer (PACT):
  • Guaranteed admission to the university (with 3.25 minimum GPA).
  • A minimum $8,500 academic scholarship to all PACT students (requires a 3.4 GPA) and a minimum $5,000 academic scholarship (requires a 3.25 GPA). Scholarships are automatically increased by $1,000 for students living on campus.
  • Priority scholarship consideration for students who qualify for merit-based transfer scholarships.
  • Acceptance into the University Honors Program (requires a 3.25 GPA).
  • Priority consideration for university housing.
  • Complimentary opportunities to attend academic, cultural, and athletic events at Chapman University.
